In the past Firefox was the best all round browser to use, reliable, stable, and functional, but in recent years its become increasingly troublesome.
If your Firefox updated and now your extensions are no longer working then you're not alone.
The Alexa Extension for Firefox is currently disabled by the browser's security settings.
The cryptic instructions tell you to go to the firefox preferences menu, which it doesn't have, and to find something called "Tracking Protection", which it doesn't have and to finally uncheck "Use Tracking Protection in Private..." which of course it doesn't have.
After spending an hour sodding about with it, uninstalling, re-installing, trying various settings it just won't work. Switched to Google Chrome and works fine.
It's a sad day when Firefox get's dropped in favour of Google Chome, but today is that day.
